Pecorama at Beer, one of East Devon’s leading visitor attractions, is the home to the famous PECO Model Railway Exhibition and the Beer Heights Light Railway.

The Exhibition hall displays wonderfully detailed railway layouts, in many different gauges.

Outdoors, a fleet of miniature steam locomotives pull passenger trains on a mile-long route through the grounds, over bridges, through steep-sided cuttings and a long, dark tunnel!

Pecorama’s award-winning gardens also feature the Millennium Celebration Garden, a series of five celestially themed garden ‘rooms’. The individual garden names of Sun, Moon, Rainbow, Roof and Moat Garden reflect the nature and colour of the flowers, shrubs and trees found in each.

Children can choose from a variety of outdoor play equipment areas whilst you sample some delights from our takeaway outlets across the site.

Amazing. Excellent place. Staff were all lovely, brilliant facilities, brilliant cafe & kids play park and the experience of the miniature railway is just class. Our 2.5 year old loved it, as did the adults in the group. Strongly recommend a visit.

The views are stunning from here ,looking out to the sea and down over Beer. We went into the model railway exhibition, which was very interesting to see. The train ride in the gardens was fun and so much too see along the ride. The plants and the design of the garden were breathtaking, this coming from a person who does not do gardening!! The walks are lovely and the sculptures. Attention to detail is shown throughout the gardens, well worth a visit

Absolutely brilliant, the team welcomed us as if we were familiar friends, a total highlight of our week in Devon. Great facilities. Wonderful steam train, lots on offer, far more than most attractions. Thank you all to the team that engaged with us today, the kids didn’t want to leave and we didn’t either. Can’t wait to return and spend an entire day.

My family and I visited Pecorama in Beer and was pleasantly surprised by this unique visit!! It’s a must visit for any age group! The Gardens we’re extremely well kept! And the miniature train was great! The attention to detail is amazing! We also had cream tea in the old fashion train carriage! That was a great experience and the waiter was lovely, telling us the history of the carriage! The cream tea was delicious too!
