More information

Brass Rubbing Trail

Looking for an exciting way to keep the children entertained this February half term? Jump into our Brass Rubbing Adventure Trail for just £1!

🖍️ Why You’ll Love It?

– A colourful activity booklet filled with fun facts and puzzles.
– A pack of crayons.
– A perfect mix of learning and adventure.
– A brilliant activity for just £1 – amazing value!

💡 What’s it all about?

Get ready to explore the magic of House of Marbles as you hunt down hidden brass rubbings across the site. This trail is perfect for discovering fascinating nooks, crannies and fun-filled surprises, no matter the weather. When you find one of the podiums, open the right page in your booklet, and use the crayons to rub over the pages to create an imprint. Can you finish the book and find all the spots in the trail?

It’s fun for all ages! While it’s ideal for ages 4-10, even adults can join in and relive their childhood memories (we won’t tell if you enjoy it more than the kids!)

📚 Did You Know?

The trail was created with a lot of local love! Exeter artist Clare Elsom, creator of the young fiction series Horace & Harriet, designed the illustrations, and local businesses helped bring this project to life. Installed in 2018, it’s a heritage project for the site that continues to delight visitors year after year. We love traditional pastimes here!

✨ To participate, visit us and ask for the Brass Rubbing Trail booklet at any of the shop counters at The Emporium.
