Join us for another RAMM Lates event! An after-hours night of entertainment exploring the human face, expression and portraits.
Enjoy an evening of activities and talks organised by our wonderful Youth Panel. A night full of creativity, art and live music.
Youth Panel
RAMM’s Youth Panel assists us with making the museum fun for a younger audience. This voice is important for shaping the direction and running of the museum in the future. The panel has an active role with planning and delivering exhibitions – they are currently showing a collection of objects in the Viewpoint windows.
Drag performances
Enjoy a bold and brilliant performance from Exeter-based drag queen Arina Fox. Arina, who was a finalist in ‘Miss Drag UK’ will be dispelling misconceptions about drag and entertaining you all with musical numbers on the night.
Live music and talks
Experience live music from the Exeter University Jazz Orchestra and an acapella group. The evening will also include a talk from our Fine Art curator Eleanor Hutchinson, discussing portraits in the RAMM’s collection. Dr Iwona Kozieradzka-Ogunmakin will be speaking about early representations of human faces in archaeological records. Whilst another talk by Melissa Percival will focus on identity and concealed faces.
Crafts
Get involved with the many craft activities on offer. Including portrait drawing with Lee Bates, mask making and face painting. And for some down time, why not relax and explore mindfulness in one of the meditation sessions.
Catch-up with friends over a drink from Bar Nova and grab a bite to eat from the museum café.
We look forward to seeing you there!
