View EventJoin Dr Paul Bahn, archaeologist and Britain’s leading expert on prehistoric rock art, where he will recount his discovery of the very first Ice Age cave art in Britain and information about his follow up searches throughout the UK, including at Kents Cavern.
The talk will be followed by a short Q&A and a tour around the cave accompanied by Dr Rob Dinnis, expert on the Palaeolithic and archaeology of the last Ice Age, who will highlight key areas that have been searched for art and the reasons why, as well as information about previous and possible future excavations at Kents Cavern.
We will also be joined by Elle Clifford, who has co-authored two books with Paul, “Everyday Life in the Ice Age” and, for children “Living in the Ice Age”. These books will be available to purchase from the Kents Cavern giftshop on the night, and both Paul and Elle will be available for book signings for anyone that has a copy (You’re welcome to bring your own copy along too)
