Fern Day at Canonteign Falls
Canonteign Falls, renowned for its spectacular series of waterfalls, lakes, and ferns, is thrilled to announce its second Plant Heritage Fern Day on June 9th. This special event will highlight the two National Collections of Hardy Ferns; Dryopteris and Polystichums.
Fern enthusiasts and nature lovers alike are invited to immerse themselves in the captivating world of ferns at Canonteign Falls. The event will feature talks by Julian Reed, a distinguished fern specialist and esteemed member of the British Pteridological Society. Reed’s talks will take place amidst the enchanting backdrop of our Victorian Fern Garden, offering attendees valuable insights into the fascinating world of ferns.
In addition to the educational talks, guests will have the opportunity to visit the pretty lakeside cafe, treat themselves to a delightful cream tea and explore an array of plants available for sale.
