Devon’s Top Attractions Go Greener with Electric Vehicle Charging Offered!
Devon’s Top Attractions offer Visitors Electric Car Charging Points
In a bid to be more eco-friendly and do their ‘bit’ for the environment, many more people looking for more sustainable, ‘green’ ways to travel have switched from diesel and petrol cars to electric vehicles in the last few years. This increasing consumer demand and with greater availability of electric models has meant the number of electric cars in the UK is growing at a rapid rate. As of the end of May 2023, there are now over 780,000 fully electric cars on UK roads and a further 500,000 plug-in hybrids, 16.9% of new car registrations were electric (info courtesy of www.zap-map.com).
Families and visitors coming to stay in Devon will be on the look-out for places where they can charge up their cars and a number of Devon’s Top Attractions have been quick to offer their visitors this useful service with hook-up points being added to their car parks. Visitors can have a great day out at one of our award-winning attractions and know that their car is being charged and will be ready to go by the time they are ready to head back to their accommodation.
Not all of our attractions can offer this additional service as some do not have the space or their own car park but some have nearby EV charging points and below we have compiled a handy list so you can drive confidently in the knowledge that you can re-charge your vehicle, stress-free and without being under time pressure.
