Crealy Theme Park and Resort
Formerly known as Crealy Adventure Park and Crealy Park. This family theme park boasts the most rides in Devon and has over 60 rides and attractions to enjoy and is set in over 100 acres of glorious Devon countryside. They have over 100 animals, 30 outdoor attractions and a variety of other activities including some outdoor white-knuckle rides.
Crealy opened its doors as a working farm attraction in 1989, showcasing a state-of-the-art dairy unit. Over the next 10 years additions were made to the site and the barns were converted into undercover attractions.
In the year 2000, the first rollercoaster was added followed by the splashing water rides and Crealy’s other exhilarating thrill seeking rides. In 2012 the park opened accommodation nearby at Crealy Meadows Caravan and Camping Park and the site now offers camping and caravan pitches, themed tents and luxury lodges as well as glamping. Crealy also have a Big Top Arena where they hold live shows throughout the season. in addition there’s a spectacular Christmas Ice Show.
Woodlands Family Theme Park
Woodlands Family Theme Park is one of the largest and most established theme parks in Devon and, boasting one the largest indoor play areas in the South West, offers a wonderful family day out for everyone. The 100 acre site offers lots of space to accommodate the 11 zones of the park which include some exciting adrenaline filled rides. These include the Vertigo and the Cyclone Canyon water rides where you can expect to get a bit of a soaking. They also have a Toddler Village and a Zoo Farm zone which offer more sedate fun. Plus, you can stay and play at their award winning Woodlands Grove family campsite, just a stone’s throw from the park it’s surrounded in beautiful countryside. Caravan or camp on this site and you get free entry to the Family Theme Park throughout your stay!
The Big Sheep Farm & Theme Park
The Big Sheep Farm & Theme Park in North Devon offers world Famous Fun and has been doing this for over 30 years. The Big Sheep was once a working farm and in 1988 the Turner family decided to diversify and open its doors to welcome visitors in to see the animals, experience feeding times and see the day to day workings of a busy farm. Today it’s home to the largest family-friendly rollercoaster in Devon, world-famous sheep racing, lots of outdoor and indoor fun and the latest addition – an on-site Gin Distillery. The sheep theme runs throughout the park and there’s a lovely nursery barn where you can at certain times of the year see live lambing and pet the latest sheep dog puppies. With live shows and activities throughout the day, it offers a jam-packed award-winning family day out.
Milky Way Adventure Park
This North Devon space themed theme park is an award-winning family day out. With 110,000 sq ft of indoor fun and acres of outdoor activities it’s no wonder the Milky Way Theme Park boasts the biggest all weather, family day out in North Devon. You can ride their Cosmic Typhoon rollercoaster or the destroyer dodgems, enjoy the live shows, have a go on the Gravity Rider and the Cosmic Caterpillar. You can test your archery skills and laser target shooting or try and find your way out of their maze. There’s the outdoor Jumping Jupiters giant bouncing pillows, too! They have a private collection exhibition on show of Sci-fi memorabilia from film and TV. From Darth Vader to Daleks and R2D2 the collection is really quite extensive and a must see for any fans.
