Spring has officially sprung, and with it comes a burst of colour, joy, and Easter events in Devon that promise something for everyone. Across the county, Devon’s Top Attractions are rolling out the red carpet for families, friends, and little ones ready to embrace the magic of Easter.
Whether you’re hunting for chocolate eggs, meeting fluffy new arrivals on the farm, or enjoying laugh-out-loud live shows, there’s no shortage of family Easter activities to make your school holidays truly unforgettable. From interactive workshops to creative crafts and hands-on animal encounters, every attraction has something unique and exciting to offer.
Don’t be surprised if the Easter Bunny makes a surprise appearance – he’s been known to pop up in the most unexpected places! With themed trails, colourful displays, and festive fun around every corner, there’s never been a better time to explore all the things to do in Devon this Easter.
What’s On Easter in North Devon
At Clovelly from 18th to 21st April, children receive a village map on entry. This is to mark the location of a number of Easter chicks perched up and down the cobbled High Street to the quay. If they spot at least 10 chicks, they can return the map to the Visitor Centre reception to win a prize.
Milky Way Adventure Park – from 8th to 21st April you’re invited to journey down the rabbit hole to Easter Bunny HQ to meet the friendly Egg-sperts who help the Easter Bunny deliver his Easter magic. You’ll enter into the crazy Egg-sperts’ world where you’ll help solve puzzles, make music and have lots of fun checking out the clever egg production process. Next, you’ll be invited into the Easter Bunny’s front room, where those aged 1-11 will meet the Bunny and receive a special Easter egg money box to decorate – complete with chocolatey treats inside!
Crack the Egg-nigma code (from 5th to 21st April) at RHS Garden Rosemoor! As well as the classic quest, children can turn ‘detective’ when they seek out the colourful eggs hidden in the beautiful gardens. Grab a code-breaker pack with top-secret information to crack the ‘egg-nigma’ code. Cunning code crackers will be rewarded with chocolate treats for solving the challenge. Plus enjoy Easter crafts, welly walks, face painting and a host of live performances and activities – you can even meet the Easter Bunny!
Join The Big Sheep in Bideford for the BIG Easter Trail and WIN an Easter Egg! There’s an Easter Themed Photo Opportunity for your little Bunnies, too! Visit the newborn lambs, cuddle the puppies and fluffy bunny rabbits in Pets’ Corner. Feed the sheep and goats, say hello to the Alpacas and Easter chicks in the Animal Barn. You will love the hilarious live shows, including the world-famous Sheep Race, thrilling rides and brilliant indoor and outdoor play.
Hop into a magical Easter Eggsplorers adventure at Watermouth Castle from 5th to 21st April. Meet the Easter Bunny and snap a photo! Join the Easter Eggsplorers Trail! Find the giant Easter eggs that are hidden around the park, each marked with a special symbol. Can you find them all and crack the secret word? Solve the puzzle and claim your special prize! Plus look out for their baby dragon, he’s playful, mischievous, and ready for his big appearance!
Hop on over to Dartington Crystal this Easter from 7th-21st April for a cracking good time! Get crafty with Easter-themed crafts, design your own dazzling glass masterpiece, and follow the egg-citing Easter Trail! Don’t forget to stop by the Teddy Factory to create your own cuddly friend. (small charge may apply to some activities). After all that fun, treat yourself to some delicious Easter goodies in the newly refurbished Pavilion Café. Sailings to Lundy Island re-start on Thursday 3rd April on board MS Oldenburg from either Bideford or Ilfracombe depending on the tide. No visitor can fail to be impressed by the sense of space, the Island’s natural beauty, its silence and its life. It is also a place for those with special interests including birdwatchers, divers, climbers, plant enthusiasts, archaeologists, geologists and historians. Come along to Quince Honey Farm this Easter and enjoy fun for all the family, including a Cheeky Chicks Quiz, honey tasting, seed planting, indoor and outdoor play plus the return of their Beekeeping Demos! The Easter activity programme runs daily from 10am until 4pm and you can quite easily spend the whole day there exploring the site. What’s On Easter in Exeter & East Devon
At RAMM there are family workshops during the holidays including on 10th April international storyteller, Clive PiG, invites you to share some tasty tales from Devon. He’ll be serving up appetising stories about cream teas and cider, potatoes and pasties, and more. On 15th April step back in time and create your own beautiful corn dolly, just like those made for centuries by our ancestors. On 17th April join Nicola Knight, founder of Exe Chocolate, for a delightful and educational chocolate-making adventure! Head to Crealy Theme Park from 14th to 21st April where you’ll find an egg-citing adventure across the theme park. Solve the riddles and clues to claim your chocolate prize (under 14 year olds only).
Join Seaton Tramway on 13th & 20th April for adventure on board the Dinosaur Tram. This adventure-filled tram ride will have music, stories, a fossil dig, and a dinosaur activity area at Colyton Station! Help the Palaeontologists uncover the secrets of a land that time forgot. The adventure will begin at Seaton where a specially decorated enclosed tram. At the Dinosaur Activity Area, there will be a Dinosaur Dig and Fossil Excavation site.
At The Donkey Sanctuary follow the Easter Nature Trail around the sanctuary to discover what animals (besides donkeys) you could find living in the various habitats located across our land to claim a tasty Easter treat on completion. This entertaining Easter activity running from 1st to 21st April combines family fun, exercise and brainpower and is just £5 per trail, including an Easter egg on completion.
It’s all aboard for a fun-filled adventure this Easter at Pecorama from 8th to 19th April. Their Interactive Steam Train Trail is the perfect activity for families of all ages. Step into the world of steam trains as you navigate an exciting obstacle course packed with challenges and interactive games. You’ll learn fascinating facts about steam trains and the magic of railways. It’s an engaging blend of fun, teamwork, and discovery.
Explore, play and get active this Easter from 5th to 27th April at Killerton. Follow the interactive play trail through the grounds and gardens and discover what Killerton’s wild creatures get up to in Spring, and what their rangers do to help make Killerton their home. Follow the trail route around the garden and chapel grounds and complete each fun-filled activity. Don’t forget to collect your chocolate egg at the end!
